The Progressive Surface CITS™, Computer Integrated Thermal Spray control system, is a closed-loop system designed to provide the customer with unmatched process control and detailed after process documentation. CITS™ will operate any commercially available plasma torch and offers as an option the capability of operating gas-fueled HVOF guns and combustion powder guns.
The design of this thermal spray system includes a PLC with a PC interface. This design, combined with flexible software, make it an ideal tool for the factory floor as well as the research laboratory. It provides precision control of the thermal spray gun and thermal spray powder feeder(s) and archives and documents the process parameters in a concise “Part Process Summary Document Report”. It also tracks and calculates the cost of spraying a part.
To make the CITS™ system easy to operate and troubleshoot, extensive help messages and diagnostics are provided. To perform SPC or DOEs, trend graphs and data loggers are provided. |
