Aero Engine Multi Robot Cleaning Cell

This system is designed to grit blast aero turbine engine blades prior to coating operations. Racked parts are conveyed into the load station where an ABB IRB-2400 robot picks the part and inserts it into the blast system. Inside the blast cabinet, a second ABB robot manipulates a direct pressure blast nozzle to target all key surfaces. A Shotmeter particle velocity sensor is used to check the blast stream velocity to ensure consistent process.
