Progressive Technologies, Inc. recently attended the 4th Annual Luther Jones Aviation Summit October 18-20, 2006 hosted by Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) at the ABC Center in Corpus Christi Texas. The Summit's theme, "CCAD Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" offered an opportunity to exchange information between CCAD, Team Redstone and Commercial Partners. The Summit included two days of briefings presented by Directorate Managers, Military Officials, and Industry Partners and also an Exhibition. Keynote Speakers included General Benjamin S. Griffin, Commanding General, Army Materiel Command and Major General James H. Pillsbury, Commanding General, US Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Command.
Progressive Technologies, Inc. and military distribution partner Viereck Company were honored to be recognized in two directorate briefings. The Directorate of Engineering Services and the Directorate of Manufacturing and Process Production offered briefings that included photos and descriptions of recent equipment installations. A robotic waterjet cleaning system designed to remove plasma sprayed coatings from rotary wing aircraft engine components and four robotic shot peening systems designed to increase fatigue life for engine and airframe components were highlighted. Both briefings stressed the investment being made by the Depot to be more responsive to their customer's needs. All five systems were designed and manufactured by Progressive Technologies in our Grand Rapids Michigan facility.
The Summit was inspiring and highlighted the power we have as individuals when our daily efforts are coordinated to produce materials and resources that will in turn support the men and women placed in harm's way.
Progressive Technologies, Inc. is proud of our long standing cooperation with the US Military and our over 50 machine installations distributed among the Air Force, Navy, and Army Materiel Commands.
