Controls Design Engineer

You will be responsible for the design and documentation of projects and products per specific parameters (performance, schedule, cost. •Receive/review project and product design requirements from Project Engineering. •Complete concept and project documentation and submit to Project Engineering. •Complete detail design and submit to Project Engineering which includes Bill of Materials, Layout and Schematic Drawings, Software Design/Test, Design calculations •Demonstrate integrity in all working relationships. •Communicate and cooperate with all other departments in the organization. •Improve the organization by innovating and implementing new ideas. Required skills

  • •Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • •Good electrical aptitude and familiarity with machine controls and wiring methods.
  • •Ability to design and read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  • •Ability to write software for PLCs, CNCs, PCs and peripherals.
  • •Creativity, problem solving skills and strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • •PC proficiency, including word processing & CAD (AutoCad Electrical a plus).
  • •Willingness to travel on a limited basis as required

Programmer/Analyst

We desire a programmer that is able to join our team to accelerate the development of a wide variety of applications using VB.NET and/or ASP.NET. Most programs also require integration with our UniData database management system. We continue to develop applications to assist our engineering, manufacturing, service, accounting, and sales departments. These include desktop applications, intranet, Internet, and mobile applications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •Receive development projects from Director of IT. •Work with a team to develop programs and documentation to meet requirements. •Train and support users in new and existing programs. •Assist in creating and adhering to departmental standards Progressive is an Equal Opportunity Employer

Required skills

  • •Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.
  • •Three or more years experience in VB.NET development – other .NET languages a plus. Must be familiar with object oriented programming, the VB IDE and the .NET Framework (3.5 and up). Must be able to write and deploy a variety of windows applications.
  • •Experience working with databases including the creation of the data dictionary, queries, and server routines. Experience with SQL server or UniData preferred.
  • •Familiarity with VB6 a plus (legacy code is in VB6).
  • •Familiarity with ASP.NET and Web Services a plus.
  • •Experience in a manufacturing environment working with MRP/ERP, Contact Management, Accounting, etc. preferred.
  • •Creativity and problem solving skills.
  • •Strong written/verbal communication skills.

Mechanical Design Engineer

You will be responsible for the design and documentation of projects and products. Each design must be managed to achieve a satisfactory balance of three parameters; performance, schedule, and cost.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Receive/Review project and product design requirements from Project Engineering
• Complete concept design and submit for approval and release
• Complete detail design and submit for approval and release, Bill of Materials, Sub-Assembly and Detail Drawings, Design calculations
• Complete Project/Product documentation and submit for approval
• Demonstrate integrity in all working relationships
• Communicate and cooperate with all other departments in the organization

Required skills

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 2 years Solidworks experience
  • Machine Design experience
