Robotics Engineer
You will be responsible for the hardware and software design of robotic machine control systems. Each design must be managed to achieve a satisfactory balance of performance and schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Receive/review project design requirements from Project Engineering.
Complete design and submit to Project Engineering for approval and release.
Complete project documentation and submit to Project Engineering for approval.
Demonstrate integrity in all working relationships.
Constantly improve personal skills through training.
Communicate and cooperate with all other departments in the organization.
Constantly improve the organization by innovating and implementing new ideas.
Required skills
- -Ability to program ABB & Fanuc robot systems that include multiple auxiliary axes, vision systems and interfaces to PLCs.
- -Good electrical aptitude and familiarity with machine controls and wiring methods.
- -Ability to design and read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
- -Ability to apply electrical engineering standards and techniques.
- -Troubleshooting skills, creativity and problem solving skills, strong written/verbal communication skills.
- -Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Desired skills
- -Experience with PLCs and HMIs is a plus.
- -PC proficiency including CAD & word processing, AutoCad Electrical a plus.
