This waterjet cleaning facility removes various coatings from aircraft engine turbine components up to 11.8" (300mm) in diameter and 16.5" (419mm) tall using a fine stream of high-velocity water from a robot-mounted nozzle that is connected to a 55,000 psi intensifier pump. The parts are loaded and unloaded on to a servo-controlled spindle attached to an actuated flip door on the front of the cabinet. Effluent from the cabinet flows through a closed loop filter system that removes debris and particles and returns clean water to the pump.
